AIRO (Artificial Intelligence for dynamic Risk assessment and Outcome optimization) is a clinician-led program developing explainable, AI-driven decision support to improve outcomes and efficiency in high-risk hospital care. Built using Nova Scotia data and embedded directly within the electronic health record, AIRO delivers dynamic, patient-specific risk insights that identify modifiable drivers of complications and link them to evidence-based care pathways. By reducing preventable complications and length of stay, AIRO helps clinicians deliver better care while increasing health-system capacity and productivity.
